Trump Ends the Iran War in 106 Days and Tells the World: 'Let the Oil Flow!'

President Trump just announced that the peace deal with Iran is complete, the naval blockade is lifting, and the Strait of Hormuz is reopening for business — 106 days after Operation Epic Fury turned the Iranian regime's command structure into a smoking crater.

But sure, tell me again how "diplomacy" was supposed to work with these people for the last forty years.

Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday with a statement about the historic nuclear agreement, "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!"

The deal — brokered with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif serving as mediator — declares "the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts," including Lebanon. Sharif confirmed the breakthrough, stating, "Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED." An official signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.

Remember February 28th? That's when the U.S. and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury — joint strikes that took out Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the IRGC commander-in-chief, the armed forces chief of staff, and dozens of senior officers in the opening salvo. The experts said we'd be stuck in a ground war for years. Instead, we decapitated the regime and had them at the negotiating table before summer.

Now here's where it gets interesting. The deal includes $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets being released — half before final negotiations begin. There's a 60-day window for talks on nuclear weapons development, remaining sanctions, and International Atomic Energy Agency resolutions. The agreement also suspends sanctions on the sale of Iran's oil and petrochemical products.

Oil prices dropped more than 3% on the news. Turns out when you reopen the world's most important oil chokepoint, markets respond. Funny how that works.

Iran's deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the agreement on Sunday, and Iranian state media released details of the draft memorandum of understanding. When the other side is publicly confirming they lost, you know the deal is real.

Let's be clear about what just happened. The same president that the media spent four years calling a "warmonger" and a "threat to democracy" just launched a military operation, killed the world's most dangerous state sponsor of terror, broke their military command structure, blockaded their oil exports, and then — in 106 days — delivered a peace deal that ends the fighting, reopens global shipping lanes, and sets conditions for nuclear disarmament negotiations.

Barack Obama gave Iran $150 billion and a pathway to nuclear weapons. Trump gave them a crater where their Supreme Leader used to sit and a choice: deal or disappear.

The signing is June 19th. I'll be watching with a cold beer and a grin. Ships of the world — start your engines.
