Photos Place Michigan Democrat El-Sayed at Private Retreat With Terror-Linked Organizations

Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, posted a photograph and a direct question to Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed: "Is this you in Colombia in 2022? It's a private retreat including Intuitive Solutions..."

El-Sayed hasn't answered.

The image reportedly places El-Sayed at a private retreat in Colombia in 2022 alongside members of organizations with reported ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Intuitive Solutions, the group Schweizer named, was among those present. The photograph adds to a growing file of connections between El-Sayed and individuals and organizations that have drawn scrutiny for their alleged links to Islamic terror networks.

Jedd McFatter, director of research at the Government Accountability Institute, has been building the case publicly. The organization's work has surfaced not just the Colombia retreat but a broader pattern: El-Sayed's orbit consistently overlaps with groups flagged for Muslim Brotherhood connections. ICNA Relief, another organization with reported Brotherhood ties, has also appeared in the investigative trail.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier gave El-Sayed a chance to address the mounting evidence directly on air. Matt Whitlock's summary of the exchange captured the result: "WOW this exchange. Bret Baier tried to give Abdul El-Sayed a chance to finally explain..." What followed was not an explanation. El-Sayed deflected rather than deny. When a candidate is handed an open microphone and a direct question about terror-linked organizations, the audience notices the difference between "that's false" and whatever El-Sayed offered instead.

The timeline matters. A 2012 letter supporting the Muslim Brotherhood has already been linked to El-Sayed's circles. The Colombia retreat photographs are from 2022. This isn't a single bad association from a decade ago that a candidate could plausibly wave off as youthful naivety. The connections span at least ten years and multiple continents.

El-Sayed's Republican opponent Mike Rogers hasn't had to do much. The photographs are doing the opposition research for him. And the Michigan Democratic establishment faces a question it clearly hoped to avoid: Did nobody vet this candidate, or did they vet him and decide these connections didn't matter?

Representative Haley Stevens, who endorsed El-Sayed, is now being pressed on whether she stands by that endorsement given the new images. So far, silence. The endorsement page still stands. The photographs still stand. The distance between those two facts keeps shrinking.

RFK Jr. traveled to Michigan on October 28 and delivered a speech that hit the Muslim Brotherhood angle directly, adding national amplification to what was already a five-alarm local story. Radical leftist streamer Hasan Piker's association with El-Sayed has drawn additional scrutiny to the candidate's political network — a network that keeps producing names and organizations that end up on watchlists.

Six days until November 3. Schweizer's question is still sitting unanswered on the internet: "Is this you?" A photograph either is or isn't. El-Sayed knows which.
